Sardar Sarovar Narmada dam achieves over 75 percent storage

Gandhinagar: Gujarat’s lifeline Sardar Sarovar Narmada dam is now over 75 percent full. At 2.00 pm today, the level of water at Sardar Sarovar Narmada dam is 131.12 m against full reservoir level of 138.68 m. The dam is 75.89 percent full. Against designed storage of 9460 MCM, the present storage is 7179.19 MCM. The dam is witnessing nearly 72,000 cusecs inflow from upstream.
In another development, Dharoi dam has achieved rule level prescribed for 1st September with 88.59 percent storage. The level at 22 pm today is 188.69 M against rule level of 188.67 m and full level of 189.59 m. Against designed gross storage of 813.14 MCM, the present storage is 720.35 MCM.
