Gandhinagar: Due to the strike of nephrologists in Gujarat during August 14-16, the Gujarat government has decided to run all the 280 centres operating under the A-One Dialysis Program in all Talukas till late in the night.
The nodal agency of the program Institute of Kidney Diseases and Research Center (IKDRC) Ahmedabad has issued an order that not a single patient needing dialysis should face any problem.
It is worth mentioning that nephrologists across Gujarat are not serving PMJAY patients needing dialysis for three days to protest against the reduction in the rate of dialysis to private hospitals under PMJAY.
Under the A-One Dialysis programme, as many as 280 centers are currently functional across the state where 4 lakh free dialysis are done in a year. The network is so robust that a needy patient can access a nearby dialysis centre within a distance of 30 kilometres. DeshGujarat
