Gandhinagar: Union Minister for Finance and Corporate Affairs, Mrs Nirmala Sitharaman, is set to visit Gandhinagar tomorrow to participate in the Joint meeting of G20 Finance and Health Ministers at the Mahatma Mandir Exhibition and Convention Centre here. Union Minister for Health and Family Welfare and Chemicals and Fertilizers, Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya, will also be in attendance at this meeting.

The Finance Minister is also scheduled to visit the IFSC Gift City in Gandhinagar later to assess its performance.

During August 20-22, 2023, Sitharaman will preside over a three-day Chintan Shivir organized by the Ministry of Finance at Tent City in Kevadia. The location is famed for the world’s tallest statue, The Statue of Unity.

The finance ministry has scheduled a  ‘Chintan Shivir’ brainstorming session in Kevadia here, with the objective of discussing a range of topics, including the roadmap for India’s transformation into a developed nation by 2047.

During the course of the two-day event at Kevadia, participants will include senior officials and Secretaries from six departments within the finance ministry, along with those from the corporate affairs ministry.
