WHO to release ‘Gujarat Declaration on Traditional Medicine’

New Delhi: The World Health Organization(WHO) will soon release the ‘Gujarat Declaration on Traditional Medicine’, Union Ayush Minister Sarbananda Sonowal said. Gujarat had witnessed the first WHO Traditional Medicine Global Summit, co-hosted by the Ministry of Ayush, Government of India during August 17-18.
Sonowal said ‘Gujarat Declaration on Traditional Medicine’, which will be released soon by the World Health Organization (WHO) emphasises the the importance of traditional medicine being recognised for attainment of universal health coverage and WHO’s commitment to work toward it through evidence generation and policy support to member states.
