Ahmedabad: A book named “World Upside Down,” written by Ambassador Sujan Chinoy, was launched today at an event held at the J. B. Auditorium of the Ahmedabad Management Association here in the city.

Amb. Sujan R. Chinoy is the Director General of the Manohar Parrikar Institute for Defence Studies and Analyses (MP-IDSA), New Delhi. A career diplomat from 1981–2018, he served as Ambassador to Japan and Mexico and has a background in national security issues. His expertise covers East Asia and the Indo-Pacific, particularly politico-security issues relating to China and India’s neighbourhood.

Recently, while giving an endorsement for his book “World Upside Down: India Recalibrates Its Geopolitics,” published in July 2023 by Harper Collins, former Prime Minister of Australia Mr. Kevin Rudd had the following to say, “Sujan Chinoy has made a profound contribution to India’s defence and national security community. Few have had a diplomatic career as wide as he, taking in Asia, the Gulf, Latin America, the US, and the UN.”

Amb. Chinoy is also the Chair of the Think20 Engagement Group for India’s G20 Presidency. He writes regularly for newspapers and journals, besides lecturing on diverse subjects in India and overseas. DeshGujarat
