ACB Gujarat nabs another Revenue Talati for bribing

Godhra: The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) of Gujarat today nabbed a Revenue Talati here in Godhra taluka on in a bribery case involving the sum of Rs. 3000.

According to the complaint, the joint owner of survey number-34 sought to eliminate the names of individuals without a share in the land. Additionally, the plaintiff aimed to include the names of those with a stake in the land and partition of the land block. To facilitate these processes, the complainant approached the accused, Pardeepbhai Ramambhai Talatiya, Revenue Talati of Lilesara Popatpura in Godhra Taluka. Despite receiving Rs. 25,000, the accused failed to fulfill the requirements.

Later, when the complainant’s uncle passed away, the complainant sought the accused’s assistance in the inheritance process and the creation of essential inheritance-related documents. For this purpose, the accused demanded Rs. 3000 during a face-to-face conversation, which the complainant recorded on his mobile phone.

As the complainant was unwilling to provide the demanded bribe money, he reported the matter to the ACB. The ACB in a trap set up today caught the accused red-handed while he was accepting a bribe of Rs. 3000. Consequently, the accused was detained, and further proceedings are currently underway.
