Hindu man assaulted for asking to stand up during national anthem in movie show in Jetpur

Jetpur: An altercation occurred at a cinema hall in the city when a Hindu man was allegedly beaten up by a group of Muslim youths after he had asked them to stand up for the National anthem. The incident has sparked anger among Hindu organizations and locals.
The incident took place at Balaji Cineplex on Wednesday night when a Hindu man requested Muslim youths to stand up as a mark of respect for the National anthem. However, instead of complying, around 5 to 6 Muslim youths assaulted the Hindu man during the interval and then fled the scene. The injured Hindu man was taken to a government hospital.
Local residents and Hindu organizations gathered at the hospital and the police station in large numbers. People also performed Ram Dhun in front of Jetpur Police station, demanding immediate action against the accused individuals. DeshGujarat
