Valsad: A cop from the Gram Rakshak Dal (GRD) is wanted by the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) of Gujarat in a bribery case involving Rs. 1,000.

According to the details of the case, the accused, Pratikbhai Dilipbhai Patel (a resident of Gorwada, Neher Paliya, Dist. Valsad), who works as part of GRD at the Valsad Rural Police Station, demanded Rs. 1000 from the complainant as protection money for running liquor business. However, the complainant was not willing to pay the bribe, so he contacted the ACB and filed a complaint.

Later, in a trap set up by the ACB, the accused arrived and was talking to the complainant on the road opposite Pratik Wood Industries in Plot No. 5 of Old GIDC here in Valsad. After taking the bribe money, the accused realized that ACB sleuths were present at the scene, so he fled the scene on his motorcycle. The accused is now declared wanted by the ACB.  DeshGujarat
