Memorandum presented to Morbi collector against Swaminarayan saint’s remark on Khodiyar mata

Wankaner: Devotees and saints in Morbi presented a memorandum to the District Collector today, demanding an apology for the offensive statement made by Swaminarayan saint Bramhaswaroopdas about Khodiyar Mataji of Matel Dham near Wankaner.
A video clip of Swaminarayan saint Bramhaswaroopdas has gone viral on social media, in which he can be heard saying, “Maharaj sprinkled the water from his wet clothes on Kuldevi Khodiyar Mataji. That is how your Kuldevi became Satsangi”. He added that Mataji herself bows down to those adopting the Swaminarayan Sect.
Swaminarayan saint basically was conveying message to the people in his speech, that once you are converted to Swaminarayan sect, you don’t need to believe in your Kuldevi or Kuldevta anymore as Swaminarayan bhagwan is supreme and above all.
Today, the devotees and saints associated with Matel Dham presented the memorandum to the Morbi District Collector against the Swaminarayan saint and demanded an apology from him for his offensive remark about the Hindu goddess. The devotees said that Bramhaswaroopdas should apologise before the situation escalates.
