Kashmir to Kevadia; CRPF women bike rally starts

Kashmir: A total of 50 female members of the CRPF, forming a biker team, left Jammu & Kashmir today on a journey spanning over 2000 kilometers to Kevadia in Gujarat for the National Unity Day celebrations on October 31st. A female Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) biker confidently declared, “We are just as capable as boys,” as she commenced the journey.

Comprising 50 bikers on 25 motorcycles, this expedition will pass through 15 states and two union territories on its way to Kevadia, Gujarat. The journey was inaugurated by Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha at Lal Chowk. Similar expeditions were also launched from Shillong and Kanyakumari.

After the launch of the biker expedition, Sinha tweeted, “Flagged off CRPF India Women Bike Expedition from the iconic Lal Chowk, Srinagar. The expedition will traverse more than 2134 kilometers, crossing 40 districts to reach Ekta Nagar, Gujarat on the 31st of October, on the birth anniversary of the former Deputy PM and unifier of modern India, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel.”
