Ahmedabad: The Income Tax Department  today has once again conducted a major operation in the city. The department is conducting searches at the premises of prominent chemical dealers, including Bleach Chemical and Dhara Chemical. Many chemical traders, including the well-known businessman Keyurbhai Shah from Ahmedabad, are under investigation.

The Income Tax Department has carried out raids at over 20 locations in Ahmedabad, with a team of more than 100 officers participating in the investigations. This extensive operation is expected to uncover a significant number of benami transactions.

Just few weeks ago, a major search operation was carried out at the offices and residences of the Swati Buildcon Group and the Mahesh Raj Chemical Group. The Income Tax Department carried out raids and surveys at 35 to 40 locations within the city, with the involvement of over 100 officials from Ahmedabad, Vadodara, and Rajkot.
