Gandhinagar: Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel today performed Shastra Pujan (worship of weapons) at Chief Minister’s bungalow in State capital Gandhinagar in presence of jawans responsible for Chief Minister’s security. Today is Vijaya Dashami (Dussehra), a festival that marks victory of good over evil. Worship of weapons is a traditional custom to mark this festival, especially among Kshatriya warriors. Then Chief Minister of Gujarat, Narendrabhai Modi had initiated Shastrapujan at Chief Minister’s residence. Succeeding Chief Ministers have continued the tradition. DeshGujarat
