Gujarat Science City to have Human & Biological, Aviation & Defense galleries and Biodiversity Park

Gandhinagar: Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel reviewed plans to introduce new galleries in Science City here in Ahmedabad.
These new attractions include the Astronomy and Space Science Gallery, whose construction is in an advanced stage, along with upgrades to make the existing Musical Fountain even more attractive. The construction of the Human and Biological Sciences Gallery and Aviation and Defense Gallery, with an estimated total cost of Rs. 750 crores, is also in progress. Additionally, the Science Tower and Biodiversity Park are planned to be built.
As of now, Science City features attractions such as the Musical Fountain, Robotics Gallery, Aquatic Gallery, Planet Earth, and Life Science Park.
During the presentation at this review meeting, it was reported that the number of visitors to Science City has steadily increased. Over the decade from 2012 to 2023, approximately 77 lakh people visited, and in 2022 alone, 12.39 lakh people explored Science City. Around 4 lakh students have also visited.
Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel suggested the implementation of advanced kiosks, touchscreen technology, and other amenities for visitors, students, and science enthusiasts coming to experience Science City.
An open-air Science and Technology Exploratorium is also in the works, allowing Science City visitors to express their experimental ideas, aligning with the galleries and other attractions they’ve experienced.
Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel conducted a comprehensive review of all these aspects and provided guidance for the construction of new galleries and parks with a time-bound plan. DeshGujarat
