CM sanctions Rs. 1.52 crores for development of 7 small temples in Vadodara

Gandhinagar: Chief Minister Shri Bhupendrabhai Patel has approved a proposal for the development of seven temples in rural areas of Vadodara district. The proposal was submitted by the Gujarat Pavitra Yatradham Vikas Board (GPYVB) to the Chief Minister. This proposal includes the development of six temples in Padra and one in Shinor, serving as religious centers for rural devotees.

GPYVB Secretary, Shri R. R. Rawal, mentioned that the board had received proposals from various institutions and trusts in Vadodara district for the development of small shrines. These proposals were presented to the Chief Minister, who, in principle, sanctioned Rs 1.52 crore for the development of seven rural-level temples in Vadodara district.

Among the in-principle approvals granted by the Chief Minister for the overall development of temples in Vadodara district, development works worth Rs. 10.17 lakh are allocated for the government-owned Shri Lalji Maharaj Mandir (Chansad, Taluka Padra), Rs. 11.22 lakhs for Sri Ranchhodji Mandir (Dabhasa, Taluka Padra), Rs. 13.23 lakhs for Sri Muralidhar Mandir (Amla, Taluka Padra), Rs. 13.78 lakhs for Sri Neelkantheshwar Mahadev Mandir (Umraya, Taluka Padra), Rs. 27.65 lakhs for Sri Durgeshwar Mahadev Temple (Mobha, Taluka Padra), and Rs. 25.95 lakhs for Sri Narsinghji Mandir (Ambada, Taluka Padra). Thus, a total of Rs. 1.02 crore has been sanctioned for the development of these six government-owned shrines. Additionally, in-principle approval has been granted for development works worth Rs. 50 lakh at Shree Satyanarayan Mandir (Mr. Malsar, Taluka Shinor).

Mr. Rawal further stated that the state government had previously sanctioned Rs. 7.45 crore for the works of four shrines in Vadodara city and district. He expressed hope that the development of religious places in Vadodara district would progress with the above approval, ultimately strengthening the faith of local devotees. DeshGujarat
