Harshad Trivedi elected as President of Gujarati Sahitya Parishad

Gandhinagar: Harshad Trivedi has been elected as the new President of Gujarati Sahitya Parishad. Trivedi replaces outgoing President Prakash N Shah. Trivedi has won the election against two rival candidates. The election for the post of president and also for 40 members of central committee takes place ever three years. Against over 5,000 voters, only little over 1,000 voters cast their votes in this election. Trivedi, a poet, critic and author is from Gujarat Sahitya Academy background. He has served it on various positions.
Sandhya Bhatt, Yogesh Joshi, Kirit Dudhat, Janak Raval, Jaydev Shukla, Parikshit Joshi, Samir Bhatt, Bharat Mehta, SS Rahi, Bakul Tailor, Raghavji Madhad, Bindu Bhatt, Sanjay Chaudhary, Piyush Thakkar, Bakulesh Desai, Darshak Acharya, Pratapsinh Dabhi, Ramesh Oza, Kapildev Shukla, Dan Vaghela, Sejal Shah, Tushar Vyas, Vijay Rajyaguru, Dharini Shukla, Rupa Sheth, Kirtida Shah, Jyotindra Pancholi, Pankaj Trivedi, Amit Vyas, Bhikhesh Bhatt, Ravindra Parekh, Ishwar Patel, Hemang Rawal, Jayant Dangodara, Shishir Ramavat, Dinkar Jani, Ramesh Patel, Chetan Shukla, Radhika Patel, Mayank Trivedi are 40 members of central committee elected by receiving votes in range of 581 to 847.
