Surat: The city police have nabbed 24-year-old Shahrukh Shah, a male beautician at Javed Habib Salon, for molesting a 17-year-old Hindu girl on Sunday.

According to the police, the incident occurred on Sunday when the girl, accompanied by her mother, went to the salon. After getting a haircut, she chose to undergo a facial treatment. The male beautician escorted her to a different cabin. During the facial session, he inappropriately touched her. Despite her objection, the accused attempted to dismiss it as a mistake but persisted in his inappropriate behavior until the minor girl left the cabin in annoyance. The girl infomed here mother and they left the salon.

Later, the family decided to file an FIR with the Vesu police. Acting on the complaint, the police nabbed all three male beauticians of the Salon, and then the girl identified the accused Shahrukh in front of the executive magistrate.

Shahrukh, alias Mohammad Riyaz Hasamtuallah Shah, has been booked and arrested under Section 354A (1)(1) of the IPC and relevant sections of the Pocso Act.

Shah, a resident of Rajipurkala village in the Moradabad district of Uttar Pradesh, had been employed at Javed Habib Salon in Shiv Kartik Enclave on VIP road for the past few months. The individual who had taken the franchise of Javed Habib Salon was paying Shah Rs. 35,000 per month to handle and manage the operations. DeshGujarat
