Sabarmati: The National High-Speed Rail Corporation Limited is constructing the Multimodal Transport Hub here in Sabarmati hose building is nearly compete. As the name suggests, this hub, once fully operational, will provide travelers a connection to multiple public transports.

Being the terminal station for the Mumbai-Ahmedabad High-Speed Rail Corridor, NHSRCL envisions transforming Sabarmati HSR station into a comprehensive Multimodal Transport Hub. This hub is designed to link High-Speed Rail travelers with Indian Railways, Metro stations, and the Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) system, all within a short walking distance to facilitate easy transfers.

To enhance connectivity and integration among the diverse transportation modes surrounding the HSR station, a Multimodal Transport Hub building is being constructed on the east side of Sabarmati HSR station. Additionally, three foot overbridges (FOBs) equipped with travellators are ready. These FOBs will establish connections between the Hub building, Sabarmati HSR station, the two Sabarmati Railway stations, the Metro station, and the BRTS bus stations.

Recently, a vlogger visited the Sabarmati Hub and provided updates about the projects. Here are some things you will see at this Multimodal hub.

The parking area for around 1500 vehicles is ready, where a cashless parking facility will be available. This parking area is developed on four levels, including a basement and ground, with two additional floors. Notably, a pick and drop facility for private and public vehicles will be available in this parking area.

NHSRCL has also provided the provision of a hotel and shop for which you can acquire space at this multimodal hub.

Another attraction on the third floor, which is the terrace of the parking building, is a terrace garden shaped like stairs (giving it the look of Terrace farms in Northeast India). People can enjoy snacks and drinks amidst the greenery.

As you enter the building of the hub, it gives you an airport-like vibe, as the area is equipped with all kinds of amenities, resembling an airport terminal.

Facilities like a convenience store, medical shops, waiting lounges, food court, and several other amenities will be available here.

The third floor, equipped with all facilities, will connect with the metro station on one side and the Indian Railway and bullet train stations on the other side. This hub connects all these stations with a 10-meter wide foot overbridges that are also equipped with travellators (flat escalator belts). The FOBs are ready and will witness huge passenger movement.

NHSRCL is also going to provide co-working spaces in the hub building alongside the hotels. So, if someone wants a workplace with 360-degree connectivity, then this multimodal hub is the right place for them.
