Extension of Jamnagar-Ahmedabad Vande Bharat Express train to Udhna (Surat) yet to take effect

Jamnagar: Two weeks ago, Indian Railways extended the routes of three Vande Bharat Express trains, including the Ahmedabad – Jamnagar Vande Bharat Express, which was extended to Udhna (Surat). Now, passengers are in a dilemma about when the train will begin operation on this extended route.
The Railway Board announced the extension on November 14th. However, even after two weeks, there is no official announcement regarding when passengers will be able to book tickets and travel from Jamnagar to Udhna station in Surat. The order dated November 14th mentioned that it would be effective from an ‘early convenient date,’ but as of today, no such date has been announced.
Advance booking on the IRCTC website is only available for the earlier route between Jamnagar and Ahmedabad. For the extended route to Udhna, no advance bookings are available for the coming months.
As per the railways, the Vande Barat Express will leave Jamnagar at 5.45 am and arrive at Ahmedabad at 10.10 am. It will leave Ahmedabad at 10: 15 am after a 15 minutes halt and reach Udhna at 1.10 pm. In return journey, Udhna – Ahmedabad – Jamnagar Vande Bharat Express will leave Udhna in Surat at 3.15 pm and reach Ahmedabad at 6.05 pm. It will leave Ahmedabad at 6.10 pm and reach Jamnagar at 10.35 pm. DeshGujarat
