MoS Sanghavi appeals to Gujaratis to boycott Chinese Manja for flying kites

Gandhinagar: Minister of State for Home Harsh Sanghavi made a surprise visit to the state home department today to inspect the cleanliness of the offices. While addressing the media, the MoS urged the people of Gujarat not to use Chinese Manja (string) for flying kites.

The MoS Home Sanghavi said, “The festival of Uttarayan (Makar Sankranti) is a joyous occasion for the people of Gujarat. To celebrate this festival, all Gujaratis climb onto the roofs of their houses months in advance and fly kites. I request all Gujaratis to 100% boycott Chinese Manja (strings).”

“Many young people have lost their lives due to this, and many families have lost their loved ones. The decisions made by the Gandhinagar Collector have been implemented throughout the state for many years. People who sell and buy Chinese Manja (strings) should beware. If there is any information about Chinese string sellers, you can share it directly with authorities, and action will be taken immediately,” the MoS added. DeshGujarat
