BJP protest against Congress leader Virji Thummar for his disparaging remarks on PM Modi

Amreli: The Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) workers in the city today staged a protest against the former MP and MLA of Congress party, Virji Thummar, for his inappropriate comments on Prime Minister Modi.
The Congress party organised a programme in its office in Juna Market Yard, where the new district Congress president took charge. Thummar, present at the event, targeted PM Modi, stating, “He is not the Prime Minister of the country but a broker of Ambani and Adani, doing ‘dalali’ for these people.” At the same event, he also targeted Union Minister Smriti Irani, questioning if she, too, was just another fake amidst the current surge of fakes these days.
These disrespectful words didn’t sit well with BJP workers and locals, who today organised a protest march led by BJP MLA Mahesh Kaswala. BJP workers were detained before they could burn effigies of the Congress leader. They prayed for Mahadev to give some wisdom to Virji Thummar. BJP workers protested with placards, stating that Hindustan will not bear the insult of the PM and the insult of the country.
“Insulting the Prime Minister, who represents the nation in front of the world, is disrespectful to every citizen of the country. If such senior leaders of Congress use such words for cheap publicity or make indecent remarks about a female leader, I believe the entire Gujarat is angered against Virji Thummar,” said Savarkundla MLA Kaswala.
The BJP workers also submitted a memorandum to the Deputy Collector and demanded action. DeshGujarat
