Vadodara devotee crafts 1100 kg lamp for Ram Temple in Ayodhya

Vadodara: With the entire nation waiting in joy and eagerness for the consecration ceremony of Lord Ram in Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Mandir, a devotee from Vadodara is sending a 1100 kg lamp to the temple town of Ayodhya.

After a Vadodara man crafted a 108-feet-long incense stick, which is en route to Ram Mandir, another ram bhakt (devotee) has crafted a huge lamp. Arvindbhai Mangalbhai Patel, a farmer residing in Vadodara’s Bhayli area, has meticulously created this colossal 1100 kg lamp for placement in the Ram temple. This lamp, standing at 9.25 feet in height and 8 feet in width, has a capacity for 851 kg of ghee. The lamp, made from Panchadhatu (Gold, Silver, Copper, Zinc, and Iron) , has been dispatched for Ram temple in Ayodhya.

Arvindbhai Patel, the creator of the lamp, shared that this idea had been brewing in his mind for a considerable time. Inspired by the Gopalak Samaj’s construction of a grand 108-feet incense burner in Vadodara, he felt that a lamp would complement the incense stick beautifully. After several failed designs, the fifth attempt materialized into the magnificent lamp that is now ready.

He expressed gratitude, stating that his prayers were answered, and the lamp is now destined for the Ram Temple in Ayodhya. It will take approximately six to seven days for the lamp to reach its destination, with preparations underway to welcome it along the entire route.
