Traffic diversions & restrictions in Ahmedabad, Gandhinagar for Vibrant Gujarat

Gandhinagar: The 10th edition of the Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit is scheduled from January 10 to January 12, 2024, in Gandhinagar. The conference will witness participation from 34 partner countries and 16 partner organizations. The state capital will be hosting VVIPs from both domestic and international domains, starting from 9th January.
With heavy VVIP presence in the state capital, traffic diversions and restrictions are put in place. According to the official notification, there are restrictions on heavy vehicle movement along the road from Nana Chiloda to Vaishnodevi and from Jundal to Apollo Circle on the Ahmedabad Ring Road.
Alternative routes have been identified, including the diversion from Nana Chiloda to Sector-30 Circle to K-7 Uvarsad to Balapir Dargah. Furthermore, heavy vehicles are rerouted from Apollo Circle and Tapovan Circle to Jundal Circle, then to Uvarsad Village, Vavol Village K-7, Sector-30 Circle, and finally to Mota Chiloda. A notification has been issued specifying the use of roads numbered 1 to 7 for internal diversions in Gandhinagar, while ‘B’ and ‘C’ roads are specifically reserved for the movement of dignitaries visiting Mahatma Mandir.
