Suzuki Motors to set up 2nd plant in Gujarat; Annual unit production capacity to go up from 7.5 lakh to 20 lakh

Gandhinagar: Suzuki Motors Gujarat will set up another car production plant in Gujarat. Toshihiro Suzuki made this announcement while speaking at the Vibrant Gujarat global summit 2024 here. He said Suzuki Motors will make Rs. 3200 crore investment in Gujarat to add another production line of 2.5 lakh units per year. With this the annual production capacity will jump from 7.5 lakh units per year at present to one million units.
He said the company will invest Rs. 35,000 crore for construction of second car plant in Gujarat which will produce another 1 million units per year. So in total the annual production capacity in Gujarat will be 2 million units.

Suzuki said by the end of this year, Electric Vehicle of Suzuki will be rolled out and it will not just be sold in India but also exported to Japan and European Union.
Suzuki also spoke about CNG, Bio gas, Bio Ethanol, Green hydrogen initiatives and said Suzuki has partnered NDDB and Banas Dairy to establish four bio gas plants where gas will be produced using cow dung. DeshGujarat
