Kite strings claim four lives in parts of Gujarat

Gandhinagar: Four individuals in the state of Gujarat lost their lives after falling prey to the banned Chinese manja, all while moving on bikes. The used and discarded kite string was also responsible for injuries in several people.
One individual, Lashkar Chauhan (48), lost his life on Sunday when a kite string slashed his throat in Bhavnagar. In Panchmahal, a four-year-old named Tarun Machhi faced a similar fate on Monday while riding on a bike with his father in Boradi village. In Vadodara district, 20-year-old Ankit Vasava met a fatal accident when a kite string caused a deep gash in his neck while he was riding his bike. In Surat, a 45-year-old woman lost her life due to a severe head injury after she and her husband fell from their bike. The husband lost control when a manja got entangled in his neck. DeshGujarat
