Demolition of Patan railway station begins for its Rs. 34 crore redevelopment

Patan: Demolition of the age-old railway station of district headquarters Patan has started. The railway station will be reconstructed with a heritage design for Rs. 34 crore. Under the Amrut Bharat scheme, 16 railway stations across Gujarat are to be redeveloped. The railway station at Patan is one of them. Demolition of the existing railway station at Patan will take place in phases. Presently the old ticket window structure has been demolished. The railways have set up an alternative ticket window.
