How Dabhoi’s Dudhadhari Mandir became Hasan Park!

Dabhoi: Once it was a Dudhadhari Mandir here, now there are 32 residents of Muslims under the title of Hasan Park. The issue has comes to light as the district Collector has given an order in favor of Dudhadhari Mandir. Collector has given 60 days time for appeal against his order in the High Court.

The land in Suraj Faliya area on the bank of Vadi talav is 365/1 and 365/2 city survey numbers. Banwarilal Sharma had donated this land to Dudhadhari mandir and given power of attorney to pujari Ramubhai Pandya for puja. It is alleged that this right was misused by Pujari and he sold the land to Sarfaraz Mansuri.

In the year 2014, some local Hindu youths had filed a case before Deputy Collector of Dabhoi in this regards. The Deputy Collector gave verdict that the land continues to belong to the Mandir. Upset with this order, the Muslims appealed in the District Collector office. District Collector AB Gor has upheld the order by Deputy Collector and given 60 days time for appeal in the High Court.

The land at present belongs to Dudhadhari Mandir, Banwarilal Sharma in city survey. The land belongs to agriculture purpose and non-agriculture conversion is not done. No permission for construction of houses was taken from Municipality. DeshGujarat
