PM Narendrabhai Modi to dedicate Vadodara – Bharuch Expressway

Gandhinagar: Prime Minister Narendrabhai Modi will during his visit to home-state Gujarat on 22nd February will inaugurate Padra – Manubar stretch of Vadodara – Mumbai Expressway. This expressway is completed. Commuters travelling from Vadodara towards Bharuch Ankleshwar – Surat – Mumbai will have faster, smoother and safer journey thanks to completion of this stretch of national expressway.

A note released today informs: Building a strong road network across the state is one of the top priorities of the Gujarat government. In this direction, construction of three sections of Vadodara-Mumbai Expressway in the state of Gujarat has been completed. The first section, 31 km long from Manubar to Sampa, has been constructed at a cost of over ₹2400 crore. Similarly, the second section is about 32 km long from Sampa to Padra, at a cost of over ₹ 3200 crore and the third is 23 km long from Padra to Vadodara, which has been constructed at a cost of over ₹ 4300 crore. Thus NHAI’s development projects worth more than ₹10 thousand crore will be dedicated to the people by the Prime Minister.

It’s worth noting that Manubar is located 7 km from Bharuch railway station and effectively the Prime Minister will open the Expressway connecting Vadodara and Bharuch. An expressway connecting Ahmedabad and Vadodara is already functional. The Vadodara – Bharuch expressway will be immensely useful for commuters. It will also relieve burden from existing Ahmedabad – Bharuch highway. The works of construction for highways on Vadodara – Godhra stretch and Bharuch – Mumbai stretch are underway speedily.
