Mumbai: Reliance Industries Chairman Mukesh Ambani’s younger son, Anant Ambani, is engaged to Radhika Merchant. The wedding date for both will be announced shortly and according to sources it can be 10-11-12 July, but before that, a three-day pre-wedding celebration is scheduled from Friday, March 1, to Sunday, March 3, invitations for which have already been sent to guests. The Ambani family is hosting this event in Jamnagar in Gujarat. Alongside the invitations, guests receive a decorative card containing a wardrobe planner and additional information. This 9-page card features photos of attractive designs and wardrobe dress codes.

On the opening page of the card, Anant’s ‘A’ and Radhika’s ‘R’ are written in golden letters. The next page expresses excitement for Radhika and Anant’s pre-wedding festivities, providing some information to make the guests’ trip to Jamnagar more enjoyable.

Chartered and special flights have been arranged from Delhi and Mumbai to Jamnagar and back, scheduled to take off on March 1 between 8 am and 1 pm.

Each day features a different theme and dress code, with hairstylists, makeup artists, and dress designers arranged for the guests.

 

The wardrobe planner, spanning three pages, provides information for the three-day event, including photographs of the dresses, the theme of the program, and an estimate of the temperature in Jamnagar for each day. This ensures guests can dress appropriately for the weather.

The themes and dress codes for the three days are as follows:

– March 1, Day 1: Theme: An Evening in Everland. Dress Code: Elegant Cocktail. Estimated temperature: 22 to 25 degrees.

– March 2, Day Two: Theme: A Walk on the Wildside. Dress Code: Jungle Fever. Estimated temperature: 26 to 30 degrees. (Note: Comfortable shoes and clothing are recommended as this is an outdoor location.)

– March 2, Day Two, Program Two: Theme: Mela Rouge. Dress Code: Dazzling Desi Romance. Estimated temperature: 22 to 25 degrees.

– March 3, Day Three: Theme: Signature. Dress Code: Heritage Indian. Estimated temperature: 22 to 25 degrees.

The wardrobe planner provides additional information, including a Q&A for guests’ convenience, details about chartered flights from Delhi to Mumbai, baggage handling instructions, and a reminder that the wardrobe planner card is for reference only. Guests are encouraged to enhance the occasion by wearing their favorite clothes. The invitation concludes with the assurance that this three-day weekend event will be a lifetime memory for all.

Lupa Systems CEO James Murdoch, Bridgewater Associates founder Ray Dalio, Carlos Slim, Emir of Mexico, Zhang Lei, Hillhouse Capital founder, Murray Okinclose, CEO of British Petroleum, John Elkann, Exor CEO, John Chambers, Former Chairman of Cisco, Bruce Flatt, CEO of Brookfield Asset Management, and Ajit Jain, Vice-Chairman of Insurance Operations at Berkshire Hathaway, are also likely to join the Ambani family in the pre-wedding celebration.
