March 05, 2024
Mehsana: A stone-pelting incident occurred in the district on Monday night. In Kadi town, members of two housing societies pelted stones at each other. The incident arose due to a disagreement over the use of the road.
The residents of societies, namely Sakar and Dhananjay, pelted stones at each other at around 10 pm on Monday night. Five people, including children, have been injured in the stone-pelting.
A resident of Sakar Society claims “that the other society had blocked the main entry road, which is in possession of their society. The matter was reported to the chief officers, Police Inspector, and collector. Afterward, the police tried to open the fencing but had to leave when the women of the other society created a ruckus. Today, we were having meetings about this during which they initiated stone-pelting.”
The residents of Dhananjay Society claimed that Sakar Society does not allow them to use that road. Fearing the safety of the kids, a woman demanded the closure of the road. DeshGujarat
