Gandhinagar and Vadodara RTOs facing server glitches; Driving test track closed

Gandhinagar: The driving test track at the District Transport Office in the state capital has been closed due to technical issues since last week. Consequently, applicants seeking to obtain their driving licenses are leaving without taking the test. With the problem likely to persist this week as well, the waiting list is expected to exceed 5,000 applicants.

Normally, 250 to 300 applicants take the test daily. However, with the track closed for the past five days, over 1,500 people are currently waiting, and this number is expected to rise further as the track may not reopen for another week.

Test tracks at various RTO offices across the state have ceased operations due to integration-related technical problems in the Pariwahan Portal’s Sarathi Application. In Gandhinagar, applicants from Ahmedabad and surrounding areas also face difficulties due to the closure of the track, leaving them with no choice but to wait.

Similarly, in Vadodara, the test track has been down for the last five days. Currently, more than 500 applicants are reported to be deprived of taking the test. People are panicking as their appointments are not rescheduled, and they are not receiving messages notifying them that the driving test track is closed. However, when this track resumes operation in the coming days, more chaos is anticipated.

RTO officer J.K. Patel stated that the system has been down since Friday, and a high-level discussion is underway to address the issue. Any appointments that have been made will be reconfirmed, and messages will be sent to the applicants to minimize inconvenience caused by the server shutdown. While it’s uncertain when the server will resume operation, appointment rescheduling and messaging are being done to applicants to prevent any rush to the RTO office. DeshGujarat
