Vadodara banners row; Questioning of city Congress chief likely

Vadodara: City Congress chief Rutvij Joshi’s name has emerged as one who masterminded the banners against Ranjanben Bhatt. Police may call him for questioning in this case.

Various banners were put up in different areas of city against incumbent Lok Sabha member and BJP candidate Ranjanben Bhatt late in the night. Media soon started covering these banners prominently in the news in such a fashion that infighting in party was responsible for that. The banners were in fact made in such a way that they would look like result of infighting within party.

As the banners were breach of the model code of conduct, Police checked CCTV footages and detained six persons including party office bearers and cadre. The accused are arrested and booked by Police.

During the 10-hour long questioning of Congress office bearer Harry Ode, the name of city Congress chief Rutvij Joshi has emerged in a main role according to police sources. Harry alias Harish Ode, Dhruvit Vasava and Falgun Sorathiya were three who were held yesterday, based on the CCTV footage details. They were released on bail later. DeshGujarat
