Rupala resumes campaign, visits Ashapura mandir, holds tiffin bethak

Rajkot: Rajkot Lok Sabha seat candidate and union minister Parshottam Rupala today resumed his campaign for the election after a halt. Rupala took break from campaign in the last two days due to his visit to Delhi for ministerial works and a meeting of cabinet.

Rupala today morning visited Ashapura mandir in Rajkot and then attended a tiffin bethak (a meeting over lunch) with women. He was accompanied by sitting MP Mohan Kundariya, Rambhai Mokariya, local MLAs and others.

It’s worth noting that Ashapura mata is kuldevi of Kshatriya community and Rupala is facing anger of Kshatriya community at present over his remarks about erstwhile Maharajas in Ghulami period of Indian history. The Kshatriya community meanwhile is planning a big gathering on Sunday in the presence of Karni Sena’s national president, seeking withdrawal of ticket of Rupala by BJP. DeshGujarat
