Heatwave very likely to prevail in parts of Gujarat till May 5th

Gandhinagar: People are witnessing scorching summer heat across various regions as temperatures soar past 41°C in many places in Gujarat. The Indian Meteorological Department has issued a heatwave warning for the next five days in its latest forecasts. According to the IMD bulletin, heatwave conditions are anticipated to persist in isolated areas of Saurashtra & Kutch from today until May 5th.

DAY 1: Heat wave conditions likely to prevail at isolated pockets in the districts of SaurashtraKutch namely Porbandar, Bhavnagar and Kutch and in Diu; Valsad districts of South Gujarat region

IMPACT: Moderate temperature. Heat is tolerable for general public but moderate health concern for vulnerable people e.g. infants, elderly, people with chronic diseases.
