PM Modi campaigns for BJP in Banaskantha for Lok Sabha polls 2024

Banaskantha: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is on a two-day visit to his home state of Gujarat from today to campaign for the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) ahead of the Lok Sabha Elections. The PM is slated to deliver a total of six public addresses covering 13 Lok Sabha constituencies across the state.

The Prime Minister’s first public meeting, titled “Vijay Vishwas Sabha,” is taking place at Deesa Aerodrome Ground in Deesa of Banaskantha. This gathering will focus on the Banaskantha and Patan Lok Sabha constituencies.

Addressing the rally PM Modi said, “I want to convey to the Gujarat BJP and the people of Gujarat that I am not going to be satisfied with victory in all 26 seats in Gujarat alone. Is it not my right? ‘આટલો તો મારો હક બને કે ના બને.’ That’s why we not only have to win all seats but also all the polling booths…”

Taking on the opposition congress party for spreading the fake videos on social media PM said, “”These people came out to run the ‘Mohabbat ki dukaan,’ but instead, they have started running a market of ‘Fake Factory’… Now, when their rhetoric fails during elections, they resort to spreading fake videos. Just imagine, the party that ruled for 60 years, had so many PMs and ministers, but when it comes to facing the people, they don’t have a single truthful word… Congress’s videos are fake, Congress’s talks are fake, Congress’s promises are fake, Congress’s slogans are fake, and Congress’s intentions are fake”

PM Modi also said, “Now they (congress) are saying that Modi is asking for 400 seats to remove the reservation. They don’t know that in the last five years, in Parliament, the NDA had around 360 MPs, and with the support of BJD and YSRCP, we had the power of 400 in Parliament…But neither are we born to commit this sin nor is it our way. The Constitution that Baba Saheb Ambedkar gave us… Congress should hear this clearly: as long as Modi is here, as long as I am alive, I will not let you play the reservation game based on religion….Your intention to take away reservation from Dalits, Adivasis, backward classes, and economically poor sections and give it away to Muslims based on religion.”

“This time, the situation of Congress is such that to form the government, you need at least 272 seats but other than BJP, not a single party even Congress is contesting on 272 seats. They are not even contesting on 272 seats and yet they want to form the government… The situation is such that the ‘Shahi Pariwar’ of Congress that resides in Delhi would not vote for Congress… party does not have a candidate there. Ahmed Patel was a big leader of Gujarat; he is no more, but his family stays in Bharuch, and they will also not be voting for Congress. A prominent leader of Congress lives in Bhavnagar, and he will also not vote for Congress. This is the situation of this party,” the PM further said in the North Gujarat rally.

Later today, PM Modi will address a gathering at Modi Ground in Himmatnagar of Sabarkantha district, targeting the Sabarkantha and Mehsana Lok Sabha seats.

On the second day of his trip, May 2nd, PM Modi will hold a rally at Shastri Ground in Anand around 10 am, aiming to garner support for BJP candidates from the Anand and Kheda Lok Sabha constituencies.

Subsequently, at 12 noon, PM Modi will address a rally near Trimandir Grounds on the Surendranagar-Rajkot Road to bolster support for Lok Sabha constituencies including Surendranagar, Rajkot, and Bhavnagar.

At 2:15 pm, while covering the Junagadh, Porbandar, and Amreli Lok Sabha seats, Modi will address a public meeting at Krushi Vishwavidyalaya in Junagadh. Following this, in what will mark his final public engagement on this trip, PM Modi will address a gathering at Pradarshan Ground in Jamnagar around 4:15 pm, focusing on the Jamnagar Lok Sabha and Porbandar Vidhansabha seat.
