BJP leader Himanshu Patel Pusnsari’s car attacked in Meghraj on polling day

Sabarkantha: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Himanshu Patel, was attacked on Tuesday while he was in Meghraj town after the polling for Lok Sabha Elections 2024 took place. In the latest development, Meghraj Police have nabbed one individual in relation to the attack and are carrying out an investigation.

Addressing the press, a senior police official said, “Himanshubhai Narendrabhai Patel, who was working as a polling agent, was returning to Modasa after dropping off a friend. At that time, 10-12 people who came on bikes attacked Himanshu’s Innova Car. In the attack, the window glass of the rear seat broke, and Himanshu got injured with a glass shard in his left arm. He has been given treatment. As soon as the case came to light, the Police acted promptly and rounded up one identified individual named Rasikbhai.”

Himanshubhai Narendrabhai Patel, a native of Punsari in Talod and former Sarpanch of Adarsh Panchayat of Gujarat, and BJP youth leader, was attacked while working as an election agent during the Lok Sabha Polling on Tuesday. Himanshu was on his way to Modhasa when some people started chasing his car. When the car reached near the office of Meghraj Mamlatdar Police, three people attacked Patel’s car and broke the window, resulting in injury to Himanshu. Later, the police registered a case against 10-12 people and, based on video evidence, have nabbed one accused in the case. The police are further investigating the case. DeshGujarat
