Surat: Surat Municipal Corporation (SMC) teams collected samples from 29 ice-cream sellers from across the city for laboratory test. 10 of 29 samples failed in laboratory test due to lack of quality of materials. SMC team destroyed 88 kg ice-cream stock of inferior quality. According to SMC sources, milk fat was less than 10 percent while solids were less than 36p percent in failed samples.

The parlors where poor quality of ice-cream was found are Santkrupa natural kothi ice-cream at Jantanagar on LH Road, Madhav ice-cream at Nidhi complex in Nana Varachha, Chandamama ice-cream at Siddheshwar society on Ved Road, Santkrupa ice-cream at Jantanagar society on LH road, Prime Natural near Prashuram garden on LH road, Radhe parlor near Parshuram garden on LH road, Shri Radhe natural kothi ice-cream at Apple square near Navjivan society on Ved road, Umiya agency at Gokuldham society on Variyav road, Vadilal Enterprise ltd, Kansanagar, Katargam and Bombay super ice-cream and Quality, Kalyannagar on Puna simada road.
