Viral video of lady beating up girl child cruelly; Police complaint filed, accused identified

Bhuj: A police complaint has been filed in Madhapar police station of Kutch district in Gujarat over a viral video in which a lady can be seen beating up a little girl child brutally at home. The video which was initially posted in Whatsapp groups speedily went viral on the online social media platforms. 100s of people on various social media platforms demanded police book the lady and rescue the child. As the lady in the video was speaking Gujarati language in a Kutchi tone, it was prima facie concluded that the video could be from Kutch.
The incident eventually was traced to Madhapar village which is located near district headquarters Bhuj in Kutch. A former husband of the lady has filed a complaint in this case, following which, the local police have started a probe into this under section 323.
According to the details available from Kutch, the complainant who is the former husband of the accused, was living with the accused lady at Ambedkarnagar in Mahdapar about two years ago. A 9-year-old girl child of their own had spilled oil in the house. Angry with this, the lady accused who is the real mother, started beating up her girl child brutally. The husband and wife eventually got divorced.
The accused lady is from Godhra and presently lives in Jaipur. The girl child is with her only. The former husband had initially stayed away from filing a complaint, but after a viral video clip and related uproar over social media, he has now filed a complaint. DeshGujarat
