Surat: In good news for about 2.5 lakh cattle rearers of Surat and Tapi districts, Sumul Dairy has announced a bonus of ₹115 per kilogram of milk fat.

Chairman Mansingh Patel declared on Thursday that Sumul Dairy would provide a bonus of Rs. 115 per kilogram of fat to cattle rearers in Surat and Tapi districts this year.

Chairman Mansingh Patel further disclosed that the annual turnover of Sumul Dairy for the year 2023-24 was Rs. 6333 crores, marking an 18 percent increase from the previous year. With this in mind, the board of directors has decided to allocate a total of ₹385 crore as a bonus to the cattle rearers. The bonus money will be deposited into the accounts of milk producers on June 4th.

It is noteworthy that, besides Gujarat, Sumul Dairy also operates milk plants in Maharashtra and Goa. DeshGujarat
