Dust storms to prevail in parts of Gujarat till Sunday
June 01, 2024
Gandhinagar: Gujarat has been experiencing intense heat for several days. Although the heatwaves have subsided, providing some relief, citizens now have to contend with dust storms, as reported by the Indian Meteorological Department.
According to the IMD Ahmedabad, “Light dust storms with maximum surface wind speeds less than 40 kmph (in gusts) are highly likely to occur over the districts of North Gujarat, Saurashtra, and Kutch, specifically Banaskantha, Patan, Surendranagar, and Kutch,” from today until June 2nd.
On the other hand, beaches in South Gujarat have also been closed by the administration due to the strong winds of 30-35 knots, gusting to 40 knots, prevailing in the coastal region. DeshGujarat
