Gujarat BJP chief CR Patil reacts to party’s 25-seat victory in the State

Gandhinagar: Ruling Bharatiya Janata Party(BJP) Gujarat chief CR Patil and Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel today addressed the media persons at State party headquarters Shri Kamalam here after party’s win on 25 out of 26 Lok Sabha seats in Gujarat and party’s emergence as the single largest party coupled with victory of party-led National Democratic Alliance(NDA) nationally.

Patil said, party has the party has achieved about similar number of votes and percentage this time. Patil also pointed out the high margins of victory on various seats barring Patan. He admitted some shortcoming that party couldn’t win Banaskantha seat.

Patil said the party has decided not to celebrate the victory in the backdrop of the Rajkot game zone fire tragedy. Patil said NDA is nearing 300 seats mark and several independents have contacted the party to offer their support. He said Narendra Modi will lead the alliance and complete the five years term as Prime Minister. Patil said both Chandrababu Naidu and Nitish Kumar are part of BJP led NDA. DeshGujarat
