Shah, Patil win with over 7 lakh vote margin; 13 BJP candidates win with 3 lakh in Gujarat

Gandhinagar: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) won 25 out of 26 Lok Sabha seats, while the main opposition party, Congress, made a comeback after 10 years and secured a single win in the Banaskantha Lok Sabha seat. On the Surat Lok Sabha seat BJP candidate was declared the winner unopposed as no one else was in the fray for elections.

Out of the 25 seats that went to poll in the state, the margin of victory on two seats is over 7 lakh votes. Gujarat BJP chief C R Patil is leading in the Navsari Lok Sabha seat with a margin of over 7.67 lakh votes while receiving over 10.2 lakh votes. Similarly, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, who was contesting from Gandhinagar, secured over 10 lakh votes won with a margin of over 7.44 lakh votes.

BJP’s Dr. Hemang Joshi, contesting the Vadodara seat, has secured over 8.73 lakh votes and is winning with a margin of over 5.82 lakh votes. Another candidate with a lead of over 5 lakh votes is Rajpalsinh Jadhav, who secured over 7.85 lakh votes while contesting from the Panchmahal Lok Sabha seat.

Union Minister Parshottam Rupala, contesting from the Rajkot seat, is emerging victorious with a margin of 4.81 lakh votes while securing over 8.5 lakh votes. BJP’s Hasmukhbhai Patel in Ahmedabad East has received over 7.7 lakh votes, securing victory with a lead of 4.61 lakhs. Moreover, Nimuben Bhambhaniya in Bhavnagar secured 7.16 lakh votes for BJP, leading by 4.55 lakh votes.

Six BJP candidates are winning their respective seats with a margin of votes between 3 to 4 lakhs. BJP candidate from Chotaudaipur seat, Jashubhai Rathva, is leading with a margin of over 3.9 lakh votes and has received over 7.9 lakh votes. Union Minister Mansukh Mandaviya, who is contesting the Porbandar Lok Sabha seat, is leading with a margin of over 3.8 lakh votes while receiving 6.2 lakh votes.

Another union minister, Devusinh Chauhan, who is contesting from the Kheda Lok Sabha seat, is leading with a margin of over 3.5 lakh votes and has received around 7.4 lakh votes.

On the Dahod seat, Jaswant Singh Bhabor is also leading with a margin of over 3.3 lakh votes and has received 6.8 lakh votes.

Haribhai Patel, who is contesting from the Mehsana Lok Sabha seat in North Gujarat, has received 6.8 lakh votes and has won with a margin of 3.28 lakh votes.

Bharat Sutaria is leading in his Lok Sabha seat with a margin of 3.2 lakh votes while receiving over 5.8 lakh votes in his favor.

Dinesh Bhai Makwana won the Ahmedabad West seat by a margin of 2.86 lakh votes while receiving over 6.1 lakh votes.

Similarly, Vinod Chavda has received over 3.56 lakh votes and is leading by a margin of 2.67 lakh votes in the Kutch Lok Sabha seat.

On the Surendranagar seat, Chandubhai Shihora is leading by 2.60 lakh votes while receiving over 6.64 lakh votes.

The sitting MP, Poonamben Madam, has a lead of 2.37 lakh votes in the Jamnagar Lok Sabha seat, where she has received over 6.18 lakh votes.

Prabhu Bhai Vasava, contesting from the Bardoli Lok Sabha seat, has received over 7.55 lakh votes and is leading by a margin of 2.31 lakh votes.

Dhaval Patel, who is contesting elections for the first time from the Valsad Lok Sabha seat, is also leading by a margin of 2.1 lakh votes and has garnered over 7.64 lakh votes.

There are six seats in Gujarat where the margin of victory is less than two lakh votes. BJP candidate from Sabarkantha, Shobhnaben Baraiya, is leading with a margin of 1.55 lakh votes and has received over 6.7 lakh votes.

On the Junagadh Lok Sabha seat, Rajeshbhai Chudasama has received over 5.8 lakh votes and is leading with a margin of 1.35 lakh votes.

Mitesh Patel from Anand is leading by over 89,000 votes and has received over 6.12 lakh votes. Mansukh Bhai Vasava, who is contesting the Bharuch Lok Sabha seat, has secured over 6 lakh votes and is leading with a margin of over 87,000 votes.

On the Patan Lok Sabha seat, Bharatsinh Dabhi has received over 5.85 lakh votes and is leading by over 30,000 votes.

The sole winner from the Congress party, Geniben Thakor, has received over 6.61 lakh votes and has secured a victory with a margin of over 30,000 votes.
