ACB Gujarat nab School Principal, Teacher / Clerk and School Operator in bribe for admission case

Gandhinagar: Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) has nabbed a school principal , school clerk and school operator in bribe case. Accused Manoj Patel is principal of Tirupati Balaji Secondary and Higher Secondary school (granted) at Panthawada in Dantiwada taluka of Banaskantha district. Another accused Arjun alias Arjanbhai Solanki is teacher and clerck(adhock) in same school. The third accused Arvind Shrimali is operator of this school.
A complainant in this case was seeking his son’s admission in class 11 Science stream for which the prescribed fee rate was Rs. 380 as per the government rules that apply to granted school. However the accused demanded Rs. 20,000 bribe for admission. The complainant was told by accused that out of Rs. 20,000 bribe, Rs. 10,000 is payable upfront, while another installment of Rs. 10,000 can be payed later this yar. As the complainant was unwilling to pay bribe, he contacted ACB, following which a trap was arranged and the accused were nabbed after bribe was received. DeshGujarat
