Gandhidham Bar Association gives ultimatum of opening completed Oslo Overbridge in 2 days
June 15, 2024
Gandhidham: The Gandhidham Bar Association has given the administration 48 hours to open the newly completed Oslo Overbridge on Tagore Road, which was built to ease traffic congestion. This ultimatum follows an unofficial inauguration by the opposition party Congress on June 13, which was not coordinated with the police and went viral on social media.
In a memorandum submitted to the Gandhidham Mamlatdar, the Bar Association highlighted the hardships faced by the people of Gandhidham Adipur during the bridge’s construction. The residents have to use the service road, causing traffic jams lasting over half an hour. This issue has also delayed court proceedings, as people struggle to reach the court on time.
The Gandhidham Bar Association, led by President Dilip Joshi and members N.J. Tolani, Kanji Fafal, and Dharmendragiri, urged the administration to open the bridge within 48 hours. They warned that failure to do so would result in legal action and a public demonstration on Gandhi Marg involving the city’s residents. DeshGujarat
