Heavy rain, strong winds likely in Ahmedabad & Gandhinagar during next 24 hours

Ahmedabad: The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast moderate to heavy rainfall across Gujarat over the next seven days, with Ahmedabad and Gandhinagar likely to experience heavy rain in the next 24 hours.
According to the latest IMD bulletin, a yellow warning has been issued for Ahmedabad and the state capital Gandhinagar, predicting heavy rainfall during the next 24 hours.
As of the latest nowcast at 7 pm today, moderate thunderstorms with maximum surface wind speeds between 41 – 61 kmph (in gusts) are expected in Gandhinagar, while in Ahmedabad, the wind speeds will be less than 40 kmph.
Meanwhile, 18 districts are under an orange alert due to expected heavy to very heavy rains, namely Banaskantha, Sabarkantha, Anand, Vadodara, Chhota Udepur, Narmada, Bharuch, Surat, Dang, Tapi, Navsari, Valsad, as well as in Daman and Dadra Nagar Haveli. The Saurashtra region may also experience heavy rains in Surendranagar, Junagadh, Amreli, Bhavnagar, Gir Somnath, and Botad. DeshGujarat
