Red alert in parts of Gujarat; IMD forecasts very heavy rain over next 5 days

Surat: The South Gujarat region has been experiencing incessant heavy rainfall for several hours. The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a red alert for the next 24 hours, indicating the likelihood of heavy to extremely heavy rainfall in some areas of South Gujarat. As per the IMD most parts of the state are expected to witness heavy rains over the next 5 days until July 17th.
According to the latest IMD bulletin, districts including Navsari, Valsad, Daman, and Dadra Nagar Haveli are on red alert, with heavy to very heavy rains expected in isolated places and the possibility of extremely heavy rainfall within the next 24 hours.
Narmada, Bharuch, Surat, Tapi, Amreli, Bhavnagar, Gir, Somnath, and Diu are under an orange alert during this period, with heavy to very heavy rainfall likely in these areas.
Arvalli, Kheda, Ahmedabad, Anand, Panchmahal, Dahod, Mahisagar, Vadodara, Chotta Udaipur, Surendranagar, Rajkot, Junagadh, Botad, and Kutch have been marked with a yellow warning, anticipating heavy rains.
On July 14th, an orange alert is in effect for Navsari, Valsad, Daman, Dadra Nagar Haveli, Amreli, Bhavnagar, Somnath, and Diu, with heavy to very heavy rain expected.
On July 15th, an orange alert is in place for Surat, Navsari, Valsad, Daman, Dadra Nagar Haveli, Amreli, Bhavnagar, Somnath, and Diu, while a yellow alert is issued for Narmada, Bharuch, Tapi, Dang, Banaskantha, Surendranagar, Rajkot, Porbandar, Junagadh, and Botad.
On July 16th, a red alert has been issued with warnings of extremely heavy rainfall for Surat, Dang, Navsari, Valsad, Tapi, Daman, Dadra Nagar Haveli, Junagadh, Amreli, Bhavnagar, Gir Somnath, and Diu.
Ahmedabad, Vadodara, Chotta Udaipur, Narmada, Bharuch, Surendranagar, Rajkot, Dwarka, Botad, and Porbandar are under an orange alert with expectations of heavy to very heavy rainfall.
On July 17th, Porbandar, Junagadh, Amreli, Dwarka, Gir Somnath, and Diu will be on red alert with warnings of heavy to very heavy rainfall. Meanwhile, an orange alert will be in effect for Banaskantha, Patan, Mehsana, Sabarkantha, Surat, Dang, Navsari, Valsad, Tapi, Daman, Dadra Nagar Haveli, Rajkot, and Jamnagar. DeshGujarat
