West Kutch Police solve six Love Jihad cases of Gujarat in last 45 days

Kutch: West Kutch police have solved six cases where Muslim boys trapped Hindu girls under false identities and later raped them. These incidents occurred in the last 45 days, with four of the  Hindu victim girls being minors. The police reunited the victims with their families and arrested all the accused.

The West Kutch Police used human resources and technical surveillance and formed different teams to investigate when the cases of kidnapping and rape came to light. They conducted operations in disguise. It led to the arrest of the accused from Bhuj, Mandvi, Nakhatrana, Madhapur, Bihar, and one from Rajasthan.

In the first case reported at Mandvi Police Station on May 19, Rajak Siddiq Sumra was accused of luring, kidnapping, and raping a Hindu minor girl. Following the police investigation, the victim was rescued and the accused was apprehended.

In the second case, a complaint was filed against Abubhakhar Ramju Sumra at Bhuj City A Division Police Station on May 31. He was charged with kidnapping and raping a Hindu minor girl. The police successfully arrested the criminal and rescued the victim girl.

The third case was reported at Madhapur police station on June 23. Osman Ghani Suleman Abhda from Bhakharia village had kidnapped and raped a Hindu minor girl. The police conducted a five-day operation in disguise as hunters in the jungle of Jura village to apprehend Osman. They successfully rescued the minor and arrested the accused.

The fourth case involved Salim Abdul Juneja, residing in Sukhpar of Bhuj taluka, who kidnapped a minor Hindu girl on June 23 and took her to Champaran district in Bihar. Acting on received intelligence, the police coordinated with local authorities in Panchkokdi area, Bihar. The West Kutch Police disguised themselves as street vendors, traders, and vegetable sellers to keep a watch and apprehended Salim.

In the fifth case, Anwar Mamad Notiyar from Ghadani village in Nakhatrana taluka and Mahendra Vishram Siju from Valka Nana village lured a Hindu woman and kidnapped her. The police intervened promptly, rescued the woman, and apprehended the suspects.

The sixth case was of Soyeb Kharshid Mirashi from Deeg district, Rajasthan. He lured a 20-year-old Hindu girl into a love trap and kidnapped her on June 28. The accused later hid in Kutch.
