Bullet train project: Construction of Kolak River bridge in Valsad completes

Valsad: The National High Speed Rail Corporation Limited announced today that a 160-meter-long bridge over the Kolak River between Vapi and Bilimora Bullet Train stations in Valsad district was completed on July 12, 2024.
The bridge spans 160 meters and features four 40-meter full-span girders. Pillar heights range from 14 to 23 meters. The Kolak River is situated 7 km from Vapi and 43 km from the Bilimora bullet train stations.
In total, there are 24 river bridges on the Bullet Train corridor (in Gujarat and Maharashtra), with 20 in Gujarat and 4 in Maharashtra.
Construction has already completed on eight river bridges: Dhadhar River (120 m, Vadodara district), Par River (320 m, Valsad district), Purna River (360 m, Navsari district), Mindhola River (240 m, Navsari district), Ambika River (200 m, Navsari district), Auranga River (320 m, Valsad district), Venganiya River (200 m, Navsari district), and Mohar River (160 m, Kheda district).
