Tragad Underpass still waterlogged after Monday rains in Ahmedabad

Ahmedabad: The city received nearly upto 2 inches of rain on Monday. However, even after around 16 hours since the rain subsided, water has not receded from the Uma Bhavani underpass in the Tragad area.
The underpass remains flooded, forcing vehicles and 108 ambulances to navigate through the water. Motorists traveling on the SG highway are facing significant difficulties today due to this waterlogging.
On Monday, the eastern part of the city, including Memco, Saijpur, and Maninagar, received approximately three and a half inches of rain. Areas such as Ranip, Sardarnagar, Airport, Kotarpur, Jamalpur, Lal Darwaza Khadia, and Astodia received about two and a half inches of rain. Chandkheda, Vasana, Jashodanagar, Naroda, Odhav, Dudheshwar, Shahpur, Daryapur, and Amraiwadi experienced two inches of rain. Viratnagar, Rakhial, Paldi, Vasana, Jamalpur, Ashram Road, Lal Darwaza, Astodia, and Khadia received around an inch of rain. Gota, Science City, Jodhpur, Shivranjani, Satellite, Anandnagar, Prahladnagar, Thaltej, Bodakdev, and Vastrapur received about half an inch of rain.
Despite an average of one inch of rain, the eastern area of the city experienced flooding, with many roads submerged. Waterlogging was reported in areas such as Naroda, Saraspur, Rakhial, Bapunagar, Nikol, Maninagar, Kankaria, Odhav, and Gomtipur. DeshGujarat
