Gir Somnath: A 153 ft tall Trishul, believed to be the world’s tallest, has been installed at Rudreshwar Mahadev Mandir in Ghantvad village of Gir Somnath. The Trishul was installed with rituals on the Aatham of Ashadh Gupt Navratri.
The 21-ft-Trishul stands on a 132 ft pole. The Trishul is made of steel and iron and weighs 450 kg. The entire structure, including the pole, weighs 2200 kg and is designed to last for a century due to its strong foundation.
Previously, Nepal housed an 81 ft Trishul, while Limdi’s Bhimnath Mahadev Mandir had a 125 ft Trishul. Now, the Rudreshwar Mahadev Mandir is home to the world’s largest Trishul. DeshGujarat
