Red alert in these places of Gujarat; IMD forecasts heavy rain till July 26

Ahmedabad: The Indian Meteorological Department has issued a red alert for some districts of Gujarat for the next 24 hours. However, an orange alert will be in place for some areas over the next 5 days until July 26th.
According to the latest IMD bulletin, a red alert is in place for the next 24 hours in the districts of Bharuch, Surat, Navsari, Valsad, Daman, Dadar Nagar Haveli, Rajkot, Jamnagar, Porbandar, Junagadh, Bhavnagar, Dwarka & Gir Somnath, as these areas may experience extremely heavy downpours. During this period, Amreli, Botad, Diu, Vadodara, Narmada, Dang & Tapi will be on orange alert with forecasts of heavy to very heavy rains.
With the yellow warning, Ahmedabad, Anand, Dahod, Chhota Udepur, Surendranagar, Morbi & Kutch are likely to experience heavy rain.
On July 23rd, a Red alert will be in place at Devbhumi Dwarka, Porbandar, Gir Somnath, Junagadh, y Navsari, Valsad and in Daman, Dadara
Nagar Haveli with likelihood of very heavy to extremely heavy rains. Heavy to very heavy rains are likely in Bharuch, Surat, Dang & Tapi; in the districts of Saurashtra namely Rajkot, Jamnagar, Amreli, Bhavnagar and in Diu. These districts are marked with an orange alert.
Ahmedabad, Anand, Panchmahal, Dahod, Mahisagar, Vadodara, Chhota Udepur, Narmada, Surendranagar, Morbi, Botad and Kutch are marked with a yellow warning, with heavy rains likely in these places.
On July 24th, Red Alert is in place at Amreli, Gir Somnath, Navsari, Valsad, Daman, and Dadar Nagar Haveli as they may get Heavy to very heavy rains at a few places with isolated extremely heavy falls. An orange alert with a projection of heavy to very heavy rain is in place for Surat, Dang, Tapi Rajkot, Junagadh, Bhavnagar, and Diu.
Meanwhile, a yellow warning has been issued for Narmada, Bharuch, Porbandar, Dwarka & Botad with forecasts of heavy rain.
On July 25th and 26th, Valsad, Daman, Dadara Nagar Havel, Amreli & Bhavnagar will be on orange alert with forecasts of heavy to very heavy rain.
Surat, Dang, Navsari, Gir Somnath and Diu may experience heavy rains and are marked with a yellow warning.
During this 4-day period, the rest of Gujarat is predicted to have light to moderate rain. DeshGujarat
